Honestly , I thought they would get to my car at 9:45 when I came but they didn’t take it in to 12:00 but I chose to wait. With that said , as they told me once brought back service would take 1 hour , including 25,000 mile check, tire rotation and a full alignment. I will tell you that the service performed was exceptional ! My car drives like brand new, and they cleaned it up showroom clean. I will come here for all my work on my new car! They were great! Service advisors are more about profit oriented for themselves than a good customer service. Looks like advisor are no knowledgeable in given a detailed serviced to costumers and care more about payment than thankful for a new customer. I really got a terrible experience in this dealership.

The worker who helped me, Jared, was very kind and patient and I really enjoyed him helping me out. The only thing I would’ve wished is if he could’ve given me an estimated wait time and maybe that was my fault that I didn’t ask, because I ended up waiting there for about 5 hours. However, they gave me an oil change free of charge which was very nice and they did a really good job and also checked for other things my car needed to get done. I would definitely come back here again!

It was a great to experience while my truck was being fixed. Charles is very knowledgable when handling the claim and having my car repaired. I consistently got updates through text and phone calls to notify me of how things were progressing, which I appreciate immensely. Also, they made it very easy for me when returning the car rental as I only had to make one stop to the shop and they took care of the rest. I am very please with the work they did as my truck look as if the parts where never damanage. Overall, I would recommend this shop to my family and friends. Would not recommend this dealer. They practice deceptive and dishonest sales practices. Dealer verbally promised to hold a vehicle with a paid deposit, but reneged on the offer to hold the vehicle after collecting all of my personal and financial information. Beware of salesperson Poliana Aroxa, her integrity and honesty are extremely lacking. Very glad we did not end up purchasing from her or this dealership.

Had to bring my 2017 Tundra in to have the tail light and bumber repaired after someone rear ended me. The team at AutoNation did an outstanding job and the overall experience was great. They provided me with a detailed quote and I was able to go over it with them to discuss what was needed and what I could live without. Very transparent. My car looks as good as new!

Im very unhappy i had an appointment to come sign and it still took over two hours. Even when i had financing all done and just had to sign. I almost lodt my job since i went on lunch break. Then i immediately contacted to cancel warranties i signed since i was in a hurry i didnt take the time to read i just wanted to leave. I notified to cancel maybe half an hour after i signed and its been days and i dont get a reply from salesperson or manager.

Went in to AutoNation South in Austin, TX for a simple oil change. AutoNation put an unwanted and unasked for additive in oil without asking me. This is second time they have added an unauthorized $22 charge for an oil additive. Both times, the charge removed after I complained. No way to know if "oil treatment" was really added. As for if needed, I previously had checked with Toyota corporate and they did not recommend an oil additive. Have been going to this dealer for years with few complaints (e.g., the first time when they added oil treatment without asking). I spoke to service manager at that time and was assured it was a simple error. New service manager? FYI - The oil change for my Highlander was just under $116 without cost of additive. Have already found a new place for future maintenance for our two Toyotas.

I'll give Joshua Totty 5 stars, maybe even 10. He was very nice, professional, calm cool and collected. But the phantom service person or team that worked on my car, not so much. They wanted to upsell me an alignment, but failed to check my tire pressure, which is what I came in for. I emailed Joshua that my tires psi was 27, 26, 28 and 46...huh? He told me to bring it back, and he would personally take care of it. And he did. So if it wasn't for him, a 1 star would be given. I really appreciate good service in this day and age. And I know wait time may be inevitable, but to wait 4 hours for a tire, and then had to go back. That seems a bit of a stretch. I know at Honda, they provided loaner vehicles for those that needed to get back to work, or a shuttle. It is very challenging to sit around waiting for hours and hours. Sure, you can Uber to your destination and back...but we have Toyota's and are there for a reason. Just a suggestion. Give Joshua a raise, because he deserves it.

Short version, bad service form the first rep I approached didn't want to receive my car, just told me drop the keys at the mail box as an after hours, even tough they it was not, so I approach another one which was very helpful. received the car and I was able to explained him about a noise the car had, turn out to be a lose spare tire, service was quick 5,000 miles, issue is I am used with other brand and dealers to have a complementary car wash, here that was not the case even tough they return it dirtier, as they where looking for the noise I imagine I got grease hands all over my back mirror on the inside, that's why I give 2 starts at least they could have clean that up.

Whatever you do, do NOT attempt to sell your vehicle here. The process is long and excruciating (hours). This is a local branch of a major conglomerate, and all the decisions makers are in Florida. This prevents them from efficiently processing any sale. Stick with a locally owned dealer. Even Carvana, whose price was lower but processed payment in minutes for a prior vehicle I sold.

Horrible experience. Run for the hills. Went in and looked at a vehicle working perfectly (still needed an inspection and wash). Gave them a deposit to hold the vehicle for me until ready. When ready, picked up the vehicle and paid. Got into the vehicle and issues started happening. Issue after issue. No communication and unprofessional. I advise all to stay away if purchasing a used vehicle. If I could zero stars I would.

My experience was 6° of seperation. I pulled into the used car lot looking for a Corrolla hatchback but when I found none I was headed to my car to leave. But when I reached my car I spotted a salesman headed to the used car lot. So on impulse I yelled to him "hey do you work here" and he stopped dead in his tracks and said how can I help you. I asked him if Autonation Toyota South Austin (ASTA) had any Corolla hatchbacks or Hybrids? This is where luck, happenstance, or fate intersected. Because Danny Tercero, used car salesman, had recently moved from New car sales and just had his previously reserved Hybrid client back out that morning and hadn't taken it off the sold list. So no one knew the hybrid existed but Danny Tercero. He was so professional and easy going that this was one of the few experience I have had buying a car that I left with a smile on my face. He showed a maturity seldom seen in young men today and represented ATSA in the best possible light. I can't say enough about how professional Danny Tercero presented himself!!! When Danny introduced me to Victor Cabello who was to be my Finance Officer it was like meeting an old friend. Victor present himself with integrity and was very patiant with all of my questions and changes. He mad the experience fun with his sense of humor and well mannered approach. After I bought the car and over the weekend I reviewed the documents and noticed a few things I missed. After reaching out to Victor he told me to come in and we could review the finance package together. Not once did he make me feel like I was wrong he just went ro town and presented me with various options. I was in and out in less than a 1/2 hour and felt even better than the day I bought the car. I liked this dealership repair exoerience. My 195,000 mile Highlander has been a great vehicle but needed an oil change and diagnosis of the check engine light. Josh helped me decide on what services were needed and kept me informed as work progressed. I was there for a while and my only beef is that the snack machine wasn't working. I plan for at least another 100k and will be back when additional service is needed.

It sounds good when they try to sale u a car but once you drive off the lot that’s where it’s difficult to get assistance when something goes wrong. My salesman John cuellar was good up until I need to get the things fixed that we talked about the very first day. Long story short The manager shadi and John along with multiple of their service techs stated that my breaks were new and that is why they are squeaking and said that the sound will go away over time. It’s been two weeks and the sound is still there loud and clear I had my own mechanic look at it and he said they did not lubricate it nor put the kit in as they just slapped the breaks pads on there and that’s it he also confirmed that the breaks are months old and not brand new as they tried to tell me. There was also a noise I would hear when going over bumps I mentioned when test driving the car long story short on this one they said it’s normal wear n tear which made no sense to me bc I have had multiple cars that were older than this car wit more miles before and didn’t have this issue. Had my own mechanic look at it and the strut mounts are bad and need to be replaced. I also had no gas cap to the car in which I had to purchase a new one and supposed to get reimbursed which I haven’t got a check for that yet. Both my key fobs batteries needed to be replaced as well (replaced) as the carpet coming out in the back (they just pushed the carpet back in but did not fix it as the carpet came right back out) and the middle counsel coming apart (they fixed)Upon purchase I was told that the car was in good shape with no surprises. Imagine my surprised hearing and seeing all this stuff wrong with it and now having a hard time for them to fix it. I did not sign an “as-is” form and who wants to drive off a lot wit a car only to have to pay out of ur pocket to fix breaks and the strutters. Now I’m calling to get this resolved and I’m getting the run around! I do not recommend to get a used car from here as I don’t think the thoroughly inspect them and just trying to make a sale. My car was inspected my multiple service people who did not catch the issue about my breaks and strutters or maybe they did and I was lied to! Either way they sale u the car but once u drive off the lot that’s as far as the care for their customers go. I traded in two good cars that had NO issues to get into this, I’m still trying to get them to make this right!

Stop selling oil change packages that only an autonation can service!! I bought a Mercedes suv from them along with an oil change package which is a waste because you can even get your full service package if the techs do not know how to service your car. I had to go to a Toyota south autonation location in austin and it was a whole ordeal. Here is I purchased an oil change package for my Mercedes that can only be used at another autonation. Booked 2 weeks in advance. Toyota south cancelled my appointment for no known reason. Called back to find out why-rep rebooked same appointment. Show up on time and no appointment. Juan rescheduled for next business day. Appointment booked but no filter etc… was ordered. Had to leave and kill time for 2 hours so they could order the filter (which must be ordered ahead of time because my dumb a… decided to buy a warranty that isn’t Available at any Mercedes dealership- being cheap)…whole day wasted and go figure- Juan was off the day of my rescheduled appointment. He didn’t order anything which is why I rescheduled the appointment. Terrible unorganized! 2 days wasted dealing with either laziness or incompetence.

I brought my 2010 Toyota Highlander Hybrid with 183,000 miles in for a free oil change. This was part of the package that I received when I bought this car brand new at this dealership with 45 miles on it. I have had all my service done here and this Highlander has been absolutely trouble free because they check it out when I bring it in for the oil change. I t is time for me to get a new one just like the one that I love with the new improved safety features. My sales representative guided me through the process of education about the 2023's and what I need to do to buy one. I bought my Toyota Highlander Hybrid brand new with 45 miles on it in July of 2010. Part of my deal was lifetime free oil changes. All of my service has been done at this dealership through nearly 13 years and 183,000 miles. My car has never had an issue which is amazing. On this visit I wanted to get started on purchasing a 2023 Toyota Highlander Hybrid mainly because I want all the new safety warning features that are now available. This might be my last car because of my age. I am buying the same car because I love it and Abbi is doing a great job of walking me through this purchase. Horrible customer service. I was told my service would take no longer than 1 hour. After 1 hour and 45 minutes I called to ask if my car was ready Tony Sabatino told me he was “just about to call me” upon showing up Tony was finishing up with another customer. When it was my turn to go over my paper work Tony proceeded to make to X’s on where to sign on the paper and gave no explanation on what I was signing for. After asking what they did to my car he said “a 20k inspection” with no details on what that included. When asking about complimentary car wash Tony said the car wash was “probably broken like it always is” I then asked him if he were to get the same service I had just received would he be happy. He then became flustered and stated he got my car out in time.. I told him that he said it would be 1 hour and it had been 2 hours since dropping my car off. I then asked if there was a manger to speak with. He said yes and pointed to an office area where about 20 people were sitting. I told him I would like to speak with him. He then stormed off and threw a grown man temper tantrum. I’ve been here 2 times now. Both times have been horrible. Would NEVER come here for anything after my 25 k check up. Keith the manger was nice but had nothing but excuses for him employees poor behavior . Go to SanMarcos Toyota instead of here if you can!

This is in regards to dealing with the collision center and the service center. I recently had to utilize both these services at this location and I couldn't be more happy. Both departments went way above my expectations and ensured everything was right, working and I was satisfied 100% before leaving with my vehicle. There was one unexpected hiccup and they were on it right away. Based on that alone, I plan to bring my vehicle back for future services. I setup an appointment to check out a used Camry. The sales rep (John C) was quick to respond and accommodating on short notice. The car was fine and the price was good. I sat down to buy it (no loan) but they asked me to fill out a credit application anyway. I pointed this out and they assured me it was because that was the only form they had for running "OFAC checks." Then they ran my credit for some reason (rather than checking the public OFAC registration). They said they had to do that for OFAC (they do not). Then they left me to hang out by myself for 20 minutes while I waited for the finance team. Eventually I just gave up and left. Not the greatest experience. It felt hectic and shady. Will not return. Ended up buying from a different company.

I would give 5 stars but I am still waiting to hear back from the sales manager about honoring the 90 day/2,000 mile warranty we were told we had with the vehicle after I sent him a vehicle inspection report from my mechanic that listed CV joint replacement needed and some other issues. Not sure why their pre-sale inspection did not catch that. Rito gets 5 stars, 4 stars rating due to not hearing from the manager. The longer that takes, the lower my rating actually is.

It was my first buying car experience in USA, so he tried to manipulate with his tactics.When we expressed our intention to explore alternative sales credit rates through credit unions, he became confrontational and exhibited unprofessional behavior by stating that he would not hold the car for us and that we would not be able to obtain a reasonable rate elsewhere. At the end, we visited one of the credit unions and got approved with reasonable rate/ bought the car. I am happy with my car and the overall services from Toyota Austin South. Recommend this place to especially new car buyers, especially salesman Joseph. Thank you for an amazing service provided by Shaddi, a manager at this Toyota dealer.. I needed an odd repair. The service advisor told me we needed to replace the steering column on my 2013 Avalon. I was not pleased with this but it had to be done. Once it was repaired I drove home. The next day the car was not operational, the gears would not engage. Now I was told the actuator needs to be replaced. Again, they replaced it. The truth is this. The repairs reflect a 10-year-old car. I have n the ten years NEVER had any repairs. The cost ($1,200) of the actuator was covered by the service department. I was very grateful. I love my Avalon and I am pleased with the AutoNation service. My care in ten years has only been served and repaired by the Toyota Dealership. I expect to keep it for another ten years.

Paul was very nice and eager to help when there was a misunderstanding about my lease agreement and included services. The manger had a snarky attitude when I pointed out I already had my tires rotated, and I would have declined other service they charged me for if they had be more forthcoming with what their “25,000 service appointment” included. I told him I would have shopped for other prices options, but I assumed it was a free maintenance service included in my lease. His responds was to laugh and say “Better prices where?”. They did take off the tire rotation. However I suggest the manager take some lessons in decorum, because that interaction was unnecessarily uncomfortable for everyone in the room.

Took my Camry in for an oil change and did some additional services as recommended. My appointment was at 715am and I was early but I had to call at 5p to check the status of my repairs and he had completely forgot to notify me the car was ready HOURS earlier. I am changing my review, cause Although the day of purchase was nice. The after math is complete frustration. We brought up the tire pressure light, and our sales advisor Patrick said it would be recalibrated. The light was still on… to find out the sensor is actually broken. When I mentioned the sensor he quickly dismissed the problem saying they just forgot to recalibrate it. According to the manual, the sensor is broken. Either way, it should have gotten recalibrated even IF it wasn’t broken. In addition, my car did not come with a Jack, which it is suppose to come with. In addition, My cars windshield was purchased broken, with the agreement for Toyota to owe us a windshield repair. It has been over a month and I can not even get someone to talk to me for longer than 5 minutes without directing me back to Patrick or transferring me to another department. Patrick says “Ernesto will call in the morning,” of course no one calls. When I call the service center they send me back to Patrick, I am tired of being tossed around in a circle. In addition Erik from service looked at my warranties and said they were “still pending” so we can’t even book a service right now. Will this warranty be pending for 6 months until it expires lol?

I bought a 2021 Tacoma here. When I purchased it the tire pressure sensor was on and asked them to make sure it was fixed before I left the lot, they said it was just low pressure in one of the tires and it would be fine. Turns out it’s not fine and the sensor is broken. This leads me to be unaware when one of my tires gets punctured on a drive home recently. And I get stranded on the side of the road and realize that whoever had the truck previously stole the jack and specific tire removal tools so I can’t even change my flat. Both of these things should have been handled before selling the vehicle. Honestly very disappointed and on top of this I don’t think I was given a fair price for my trade in. Would not recommend.

Every time I bring my car in I have to make an appointment, but for some reason no matter what I’m bringing it for there is absolutely zero chance it will be ready in less than 2 hours. Last time I went in I had an 8am appointment. I waited for 30 minutes for the service guy to come out because he was on the phone. This nearly made me late for work. He didn’t seem bothered and had zero information about why I brought my car in. Then after my vehicle being there for 8 hours I’m called to pick it up and find that the only thing they did was change 1 tire. Literally none of the other items I asked them to address. Also I bought my Toyota brand new and since I purchased it I’ve had a seatbelt that doesn’t work. I’ve requested to have it fixed every time I’ve brought my vehicle in for service. Every time they say they have to order the part but have never ordered it and never followed up. These folks really just don’t care.

Took my truck in to get a diagnostic test done to see why my truck was making a noise. I also had a dash light on for my air bag. While I had my truck in I asked they changed my oil. They ended up charging me for two separate diagnostic tests and then proceeded to tell me I needed $7k worth of work done on my truck with zero explanation on to what was going on. Also they said my truck needed work done on it that had already been done on a previous visit. When I got my truck home I noticed they didn’t put skid plate back on after oil change. Hard to believe that weren’t just trying to get sales numbers up at the sacrifice of customer service. If you’re reading this review take your vehicle somewhere else.

Buying process was fine up until I got into financing department. The finance guy Ali offered to take away the cost of one interior warranty if I also purchased a more expensive extended drivetrain/general maintenance warranty. I only found out 15 minutes later that "take away the cost" meant remove the interior warranty entirely. When I noted that this is not at all what I thought he meant and that this isnt what I wanted, he started gaslighting me. "Why would I give you the interior warranty for free? The extended warranty is really what you want anyways. Its only a 30 dollar per month difference, can you not afford that?

We live about 40 miles north of Austin and have to go to Auto Nation South Austin to get free oil changes (that’s the location we bought the car). We really appreciate the free oil changes, especially since an oil change is $100.00 dollars now. However we made an appointment almost 2 weeks in advance and still had to wait 2 hours for them to get to our vehicle. I’m not sure why they make appointments if they can’t keep them. Other than that, the service advisor is always courteous. My advice to y’all would be to have at least one bay for appointments only and walk ins get service in the order they come in.

Helped me get the exact vehicle I've been looking for. Only downside was waiting on finance team. Even after being approved and credit check being done, it was the longest part of the process waiting to sign papers.

Easy to make and change an appointment. I arrived at the specified time and was greeted almost immediately. Had to wait about 6-7 minutes for the service intake rep to finish with another customer. We discussed the service needs and agreed to do a 35,000 mile scheduled maintenance plus a wheel alignment. I asked about a catalytic converter shield as recommended by my insurance company. Told me it?s not necessary as the RAV4 catalytic converter is difficult to access. The service was completed more quickly than expected. Very pleased customer.

Your service experts are dumb and rude. They try to charge me for stuff not even broke and didn?t fix what I took my vehicle in for. Instead put in a new screw after charging me 100+ for the part. I called to solve this but the team of idiots prevented me from ever talking to anyone who could help. I was told I would be contact to schedule the real repair but this never happened. Jake sucks and even talked as if him being my service expert was an improvement over my last one. HE WAS NOT. I live nearby this location and now throw up a middle finger every time I drive by it.

I made an appointment online to test drive a Subaru Forester at AutoNation but misunderstood and went to the wrong location. The salesman who met me at the door called the other location to let them know I was lost and cancelled the appointment for me. He asked me what I was looking for and my price point. At that point I had been looking for weeks both online and at dealerships. He listened well , identified three cars and brought me a 2022 Mazda CX5 with 11,000 miles on it and all the safety features I was looking for below my price limit. We drove it, he had my hybrid trade in evaluated and I got exactly what I needed and drove it home that evening. While I was waiting to finalize the transaction, I realized I hadn't eaten all day, and Andy took me to a nearby drive thru to get food before my blood sugar tanked. I went in lost with very little hope of finding my car and left with exactly the car I had been looking for. I couldn't be happier that I was lost and found my car at Auto Nation, South Austin.

I bought my Hybrid Highlander new at Auto Nation Toyota in 2010. I always get routine maintenance done at this dealership as needed. We were about to leave for a long trip. On Sunday , the Check Hybrid System light came on with instructions to stop and call the service department. That wasn't going to happen on Sunday, so Monday morning I had my car at the service bay at 7:00 when they opened. My service advisor Arturo took my car back and two hours later they had checked it on the computer, the warning light had gone off and they found nothing in the log except the fact that the light had gone on. We came back from our trip today and all is well, and we were able to travel as planned because they took the time to check out my car. I will buy my next car here because the service dept is great.

The day after I bought the vehicle I started having issues. I took it back and they told me they couldn't do any warranty work for two week. They finally let me bring the truck in five days later only to be told that I needed to go back and get the truck to take to another dealership. I've been trying to get a hold of a manager and my salesman but neither will return my calls. I've been without a vehicle for 2 days now and need to drop off at the other dealership and they have to start the process all over again. I have not been able to enjoy the truck I bought and now will be without a vehicle for who know how long. It's been a very frustrating experience dealing with these guys

I showed them that the wireless charger is not working, at first they where not gonna do anything so I had to escalate the situation. Tried talking to a manager but never got a hold of one until I had to go to the dealer and talk to one. Once I talked to a manager they sent a mechanic in the car with me so they could see it was not working. After that they refused to change the part and said they will open a case number with Toyota and for me to wait and see what Toyota says. Even though this part is covered under the warranty and it clearly is not working on a brand new truck. Has less the. 500 miles on it

3 Days after my purchase the check engine light came on. I made an appointment and noted I would wait for my car. They said I had to leave it and wasted time off from work. I made another appointment and the guy said I could take my car to the dealership for the make of my car. Continued to say that BMW people think they’re better than everyone else, 5 times in 1 minute. He had his ears pierced and made me feel very uncomfortable . He then made me walk into the building to write me the number of the extended warranty and told me to give it to the dealership when I make another appointment, then said BMW people think their better than everybody. . All of this could have been told to me over the phone instead of making book two appointments and missing hours of work. The engine splash guard was not attached when I fought the car and I could hear it scraping anytime I hit the brakes. The timing chain had been replaced incorrectly recently and was too tight, as the tensioner was installed incorrectly. I had my car for a week and it’s being worked on by actual professionals at BMW. The O2 sensors were bad and had to be replaced. I will never buy a car from Autonation Toyota South Austin ever again and recommend that to all my colleagues. The sales person and the final loan officer who worked with me were great.

Love the dealer, love the car, hate the service. Everyone seemed cranky on a Friday morning. When the guy finally came to my car (and that took a while) he was so unhurried. It was a struggle to not say something but I did keep it all to myself and tried to smile. Maybe that's why my ulcer is acting up? What's the point of having an appointment if it still takes 2.5 hours for an oil change? I can't be the only person who feels this way!! Please get together and review this process. It's enough to drive someone mad!!

Service Advisor Jared Jones always gives me the best advice regarding the most important parts that need immediate attention to keep my 2014 Camry in good running condition. At 102K miles, I went in for a multi point inspection and after looking at the past history of repairs, etc, Jared further suggested the cooling system needed cleaning, the transmission should be serviced with 12-quart fluids, and that the air filters needed to be replaced. Thank you Jared for being conscientious and thorough in making your assessment for repairs/service for my car and thank you to the service technician for his expertise and completing the service within two hours. My Camry is running extremely smoothly and will enable me to make a safe road trip next week. Auto Nation has an excellent staff ready to take care of the customer's vehicle.

A very frustrating experience. They took twice as long as I was originally told, and I ended up wasting nearly my entire day sitting in the lobby waiting for my vehicle for what was at most 30 minutes total work time for their mechanic (I used to work as a mechanic and know how much time things take). When I scheduled the appointment I was told it would take 2-3 hours, and I said I would wait there while the work was done. I arrived at the scheduled time, 9 a.m., and it was immediately apparent that they seemed to have scheduled everyone to arrive at the same time. There were about 20 other cars being dropped off when I arrived, and I counted 39 people sitting in the lobby waiting area. By 10am barely anyone was dropping cars off. And by the time I got by car back, just before 2:30 p.m., after nearly 5.5 hours waiting, there were only a handful of people left in the waiting area. The last time I went out to check on my car, where they'd temporarily parked it, it was still sitting there around 1 p.m. So the entire first 4 hours that I was waiting, my car was sitting parked not being worked on. What is the point of scheduling an appointment for customers at a specific time in the morning if you're not even going to start working on their car until hours later? You cause a massive inconvenience to customers trying to plan their day if you mislead them about the time it will take. On a side note, the customer service advisor that actually took my keys told me it would really be 3-4 hours, not the 2-3 I was originally told on the phone when I scheduled. And it still ended up taking 5.5 hours. If I'd known that ahead of time, I would have planned my day completely differently. Also the actual work I needed done was a simple oil change and tire rotation (something that takes a mechanic 30 minutes at most) and for them to check at a rear seat release lever that had stopped working. Which they didn't have the necessary part for so no work was done on it that day and I'll have to come back again when the part arrives. They didn't even check the tire pressure when they rotated my tires, and 2 of them were 5 psi low (I know this because I check my tire pressure regularly, and intentionally keep my rear tires at a lower pressure, which they swapped to the front and never checked to put up to the recommended 36psi) And the service advisor never phoned or texted or came out to the waiting area to give me an update even after 4 hours had passed, well past the original estimate, and I had to go check with him for an update, where he merely said he'd check on it, and then more than an hour passed before the work was actually completed.

The Service Dept I would definitely recommend but I do not purchase from Auto Nation. The Service Dept and Sales Dept for me personally are miles apart when it comes to customer service from my personal experience. So I would not recommend to buy from a place I would not. However, I would not broadcast only if asked.

Took almost 3 hours to complete oil change & inspection with most of that time finding service issues that don't exist. Api told me my brakes were almost metal on metal so I stopped at a brake place on the way home. Not close to true. Same with tires and I suspect the rest of the issues. Having an appointment doesn't make anything any quicker while they hold you hostage

I had a great experience with Ruben Gallegos. My car had been totaled in an accident and because it was the other driver's fault, I had to deal with their insurance which took forever and I had to turn the rental in before I had the funds to purchase a car. I explained my situation and Ruben did not hesitate to offer to come pick me up in Cedar Park so I could do my test drive back to the dealership. I bought a 2019 Volkswagen Tiguan with a little over 16K miles. It is a great car in perfect condition and I got a great deal! The customer service from Ruben was spectacular! The last few times I've brought my car in with an appointment to have work done, I've sat in the waiting area for 2 hours only to have them come out and tell me they don't have the parts to do the job so I will have to reschedule. Then I wait about another hour while they put my car back together with original parts so I can leave. Then I had to come back again and waist several more hours of my time while they actually did the work. Appointments don't seem to mean much either. You show up on time or early and it still takes hours to get a 30 minute job done. I've come in without an appointment and service time was about the same as it is with an appointment.

I arrived at 7AM and was told my assigned service advisor was running late and another would help me. There were only 3 other customers in the waiting room so I thought it would probably be pretty fast. I'm used to being there an hour or two hours tops. There was no feedback and there were no updates. After going inside to wait, the service advisor visited me one time to make recommendations and get approval and there were no other updates offered during the SIX HOUR visit. I left at 1:00 PM, when I went looking for the service advisor. My car was suddenly ready immediately.

Henry was incredibly helpful in picking out our vehicle. We already knew a little of what we wanted from shopping online - a recent but not brand new Corolla or similar compact high MPG vehicle. We were greeted the moment we walked in, there were two comfortable waiting areas with free water, coffee and tea. The bathrooms were clean. Even though we arrived over an hour before our appointment we were seen within 15 minutes of arriving. The entire process took less than 3 hours. We did have our own financing secured through our credit union, and the interest rate is low enough they didn't even try to convince us to get it through the dealership. The finance guy did push the extended warranty pretty hard but it was a total cost of maybe $5k? The one from our credit union is $1500. So definitely skip that if you can get one through your bank or credit union! Overall a very good experience and we will definitely be come back in a few years when it's time to do this all again when our older car needs an upgrade.

I was not given an estimate for most of the services provided and was under the impression the oil change and 25k mile care was free. There were services provided that we were never told about and again did not receive an estimate for anything aside from our rim replacement & alignment. We didn?t even know our tire needed to be replaced along with the rim. Extremely unprofessional & severe lack of communication. We had to call several times for updates and had a hard time reaching our service advisor alex. We were not expecting to pay several hundred dollars for these services and will likely not be bringing our vehicle back or purchasing from this dealership again. Our whole family has always been loyal to Toyota vehicles but this experience was so awful that next time we?re looking for a new vehicle we?ll likely be looking for a different company to support. Extremely shady.

This was at the top of the services I’ve ever experienced for my < 2 year old car at a Toyota dealership. The people were very nice and clear in communicating what to do and when to go about doing it. It also only took an hour to complete my regular maintenance on a weekday afternoon. Then when I was paying and I asked questions about my service plan, the service man was very nice in explaining the details for future visits. I originally bought my car in San Antonio, but I’ve been having horrible experiences at the universal Toyota. I’m definitely going to get my car serviced in Austin from now on.

Art greeted me in a professional and courteous way at drop off and made sure to get my vehicle in and out of service as quickly as possible while I waited on site. Art actually returned my vehicle back to me in less time than he estimated, beating his estimate by 30 minutes. This meant a lot to me. Art has nothing to do with my 2 star rating. I appreciate the 2year complimentary service - but we all know that first service after 2 year or 25 K miles is a big one, that the customer must pay for. Changing fluids, air filters, brakes, etc. that the manufacturer recommends - it'll be hundreds of dollars. I digress. The two star rating comes from the following: First, there is not enough seating in the customer waiting lounge. Next, nothing is provided except coffee. How about providing some bottled water and donuts or granola bars? There are instructions on how to use the coffee maker posted on the wall; however, after two tries, I still couldn't make a cup of coffee. I suggest using a simpler device, like K Cup coffee makers. The chairs are not comfortable and there is not enough table/chair options for customers to use portable computers. Why don't you run the customer's vehicle through a car wash? It's a small gesture, but goes a long way toward providing excellent customer service. These are small things (nit-picky) but when I owned a Honda, these small things were standard within the Honda service department.

Brought new truck in for 5k service requested tire rotation they never rotated them. (I marked them)just said they did. 1 tire had a nail in it and 2 had extremely low psi - but that passed multipoint inspection. I wonder if my oil was changed? Service manager won?t return calls

The completion time for basic services is improving. When we first started going to this facility, it took 4+ hours for an oil change and tire rotation. If we had not pre-purchased the oil changes when we bought the car, we definitely would have started taking it somewhere else. However, over the last 2 years, the wait time has been steadily improving and now takes about an hour.

This dealership consistently drops the ball in regards to communicating to their customers what is going on. I arrived for a routine oil change that was prepaid with the Toyota Care package. After 3 hours, they attempted to sell me over $500 of ‘recommended maintenance’ for a 2016 Corolla that only has 50k miles. After declining, the salesperson asked me to to swipe my card without explaining what the breakdown of costs were. They tried to charge me over $160 for the oil change (should be included) and a car inspection. Thankfully I questioned the charge and they only ended up charging me for the $18 inspection. This is not the first awful experience I’ve had at this dealership. I can’t wait to pay this car off and never go here again. This dealership is the prime example why people do not trust mechanics.

This was a bit of a mixed bag of experience. I looked up the vehicle online and called to make sure it was still in inventory. I then had to make and appointment. I then received two calls back to verify my appointment. I arrived, took a look at the Jeep and then took it for a test drive. Since this was a fixed price dealership, there is no price negotiation. I then put a deposit on the vehicle. One would think this would be a very fast process, well, it isn't. I was at the dealership for about 2 hours, including the over 20 min wait to see the "finance" guy. I came back later in the week to pick up the Jeep and had been told it was ready. (As part of the sales agreement, I had the dealership fix one of the visors). As I was about to go make payment, the salesperson came back and told me the visor hadn't been repaired yet but the part was ordered and would be in soon. I was very upset. I had driven an hour to get to the dealership already, now I am being told that I would have to come back and wait for a visor to be repaired (i.e. replaced). I was more upset about being lied to in regard to the Jeep being ready. I left without taking possession of the Jeep. I started to look for another Jeep, but was contacted by the dealership to let me know the visor had been repaired. Along the way, I did drive another Jeep but it wasn't a good fit for what I wanted. I was greeted upon my arrival and was asked again to wait for a finance person. I reviewed the paperwork, took the Jeep on another test drive, and then signed a personal check for the balance. The dealership ran a credit check on me to make sure the check was good. A day or so later, I noticed a very small chip and crack in the windshield. I reached out to the dealership and they referred me to a local (to them) glass repair shop that took a look at it. While the shop could not effect a repair, the dealership at least tried. in summary, the dealership/salesperson made a misstep but apologized and tried to make good, although an offer to pay for gas or time wasn't in the cards.

My wife called me saying there was something leaking from under the car. I got it and took it to AutoNation The down side is that I was not able to drop off the car as they do not seem to be prepared for unscheduled dropoffs. I went home and scheduled it for 2 days later. The up side is that I scheduled with Art Gomez who had overseen all of our work for at least last 10 years. He did an excellent job as always, getting the rack changed and leak fixed. I did not get a quote as Art may have forgotten and I did not ask for one. I like that they even washed the car and provided a day's credit for the rental car we had to get extended.

The last two service appointments I waited over 20 minutes to be checked in. Other cars arrived after me and were checked in before me. Not sure why you advertise a car wash is done as I can’t remember ever having my car washed in past two years. I did appreciate the text when my car was done. Actually took only 30 minutes for oil change so I was out of there within an hour. The service check in people don’t seem happy either.

I told Carl I had an E vap leak. He said it could have something to do with the AC. They were not able to find anything after a diagnostic that cost me $150. When I asked about the A/C because he brought it up he gaslit me into saying that it was not the issue even though he was the one that brought it up initially. I had to come back during my lunch break and have a friend drive me back up there because the oil change was expected to take 2 hours before it would be fixed. I received pushback from Carl about getting an oil change despite my car saying "Maintenance Required Visit Dealer". Very time consuming, very costly and extremely frustrating.

I have visited AutoNation a few times now for normal repairs on my 2019 car. I usually receive coupons in my email and I even got one oil change for free! Their staff are friendly and professional and they always get my car in and out in a timely manner (even during busy times). Of course they give recommendations of things to fix, but never push me into doing more than I am ready to. Overall, I am pleased with AutoNation and I recommend them!

I had a SCHEDULED appointment for routine maintenance that ended up only being rotating the tires. I was told it would take 1.5 hours. They kept me sitting in their unpleasant and overcrowded waiting room for FOUR HOURS. On top of that, the drink & snack machines in the waiting area are way overpriced- not nice for customers you hold captive for so long.

Epi Gonzalez was my service rep., he was hard to communicate with and lacked urgency on any matter. I would call the service manager and ask him to have Epi call me routinely. I was given a copy of my receipt but no warranty information was provided. It states warranty information is on the back of the invoice but as I mentioned, I only have a xerox copy so the back is a blank piece of paper. I received my car back without it being washed/wiped down but I guess those perks are gone.

The salesmen were professional and attentive. They did not play the games that salespeople have payed at three of the other five Toyota dealerships that I have visited. However, I discovered the TPMS was dis functional when I drove it home. I called Ed, a sales person, on the way home. He said to drive the truck some and it might start working. On Saturday, I had made an appointment with service to repair the system. I had to wait 6 hours ar the dealership to get the system repaired. This was inconvenient. I was told that the floor matt that I ordered with the car would be mailed. I have not received them. Angel, the sals person, continued to help me with the technology after the car was purchased. The sales experience was better than that of three of the other five Toyota dealers that I have visited. I have owned six Toyotas, purchased at five different dealerships.

I get my regular service here and it was time to get an oil change. I showed them an email that was for black friday $29.99 full synthetic oil change and they honored this email even though they said they would lose money on it. I also rotated my tires. It took them 30 minutes, cost $67 total, on a Wednesday at 12:30pm.

I honestly can't say enough good things about the staff and the positive experience I had at AutoNation Toyota South Austin. Anyone that has shopped for a new vehicle in the last couple of years knows how extremely challenging it has been. That being said, I shopped around all over Austin and the surrounding areas-even went as far as Boerne, TX. Albeit I met some pretty nice salespeople, none of them could compare to Danny Tercero at AutoNation South. Not only is he down to earth and forthright, he is just a really friendly, outgoing guy. Coincidentally, he was one of the first people I spoke with that day when I began my search. I had a feeling he would be the one to finally seal the deal. Danny was concerned for me, my wants and needs in a vehicle. He took the time and energy to speak in depth about my queries (and I have had quite a few!) He presented different vehicles along the way, just in case, though he kept me updated on my place in line for the one particular car I wanted. When my RAV4 Hybrid came in he took the time to walk me through all the various functions and explain all the different features (when he was clearly busy with many other things pressing him:)) He was very knowledgeable and was even able to obtain the color I wanted originally as well! Tory made the financing aspect of the purchase a breeze. This is by far one of my least favorite aspects of buying a car, but she made it actually fun. The rest of the staff there was personable and helpful too. They like to have a good time, and I love to see that! The dealership property is not too fancy, but that's just fine. The ones that are were nearly ten grand over MSRP. AutoNation Toyota of South Austin is right on. I don't see a need to shop anywhere else!

What a mess. I bought a new Rav4 from here this summer. The dealership did not include wheel-lock key with my car, which I figured out when I took my car somewhere local to get serviced. My sales advisor told me to look in two places by email. Not there. Then he didn’t respond to my next 4-5 emails over the next 2 weeks. Then I called and was told someone would call me back. No call back. I called again and was told I’d need to come into the dealership, which is a very long drive for me to get this resolved. I drove in(hour drive), and was told they’d put on temporary locking nuts of a different color and I’d have to drive back in to get the right ones. I’m beyond pissed. This is a three hour disruption for me. And I was specifically told I’d have to come in and wait about an hour to get this resolved. If they didn’t have any black ones in stock why would I b told to drive in?! I then reached out to a friend who also bought from this dealership and he also did not receive the keys.

These guys are amazing - shout out to Stephan, I called out of the blue for a capstone tundra and within an hour he had my deposit and my truck was reserved. Granted we have to wait these days, but we txted back and forth numerous times over the next month and 1/2. Hit so familiar, we talked on other matters and really made a connection which enhanced the buying experience. When the big day arrived, I got the call and was on the road the next day. When I got to the dealership, he had the truck in the back, and brought it up. We took it to a celebrity lunch, then back to the store and made the deal. The finance guys actually changed the loan to meet my needs by finding the perfect match. It was a long day, but the experience was awesome and I will be going back when it is time. Y’all beat the hell out of the San Antonio guys!!

I will NEVER recommend this dealership to another person after the experience I’ve had in my recent purchase of a vehicle. It started with an extremely disrespectful sales rep and manager who demeaned me when I told them I could not afford to put $50 down on a car which was why I needed a car loan. While the sales rep made up for that by putting the $50 down himself, he then proceeded to sell me a defective vehicle that I requested was fixed prior to the sale. When he said his manager was refusing to fix it, he offered me a $300 check in exchange for my dissatisfaction and went back on his word when the check engine light came on in the car two hours after leaving the lot with it. I immediately took the vehicle back and asked them to fix the mechanical issue, they held my car for a week, and returned it to me with the check engine light still on and the $2000 fix incomplete effectively voiding their five day return policy. Two days after driving around with the defective vehicle, it broke down and is now in the shop at a trustworthy mechanic as Autonation/Toyota’s mechanics cannot be trusted. When I informed my bank of the faulty sale of a $14000 vehicle which I will now be paying on for five years plus the thousands of dollars of maintenance that need to be done, they told me to ask for two simple reports from the sales rep which still have yet to be provided to me as I’m being given the runaround by the dealership. This is by far the most slimy, disrespectful, inconsiderate, untrustworthy dealership I have ever had to work with in the sale/purchase of a vehicle. They should be ashamed and embarrassed for doing this to another human being at all, but especially for doing this to a single mother just trying to get my daughter to and from school in a safe/reliable vehicle and myself to work on a daily basis.

My experience with AutoNation was a positive one. I purchased a 2022 Toyota Tacoma, which is exactly what I wanted from the start. They had one Tacoma on the lot, so I didn’t have the chance to sleep on the offer like I wished I could and had to act relatively quickly. My sales rep, Amiel, was pretty good. Two reasons I deducted a star are: 1) Laura told me during the signing of my documents that when I picked up the truck the following morning, I would be shown all the bells and whistles that the truck had to offer. Unfortunately, this never happened. Since I had an older car (2008), I have never had any of the newest technologies vehicles now have, so it has taken me a lot of time and research to figure out what all my truck offers. Thankful for YouTube! It was also upsetting to learn that my truck did not come with the lane departure feature, which I find really helpful in modern vehicles, and I expressed that I wanted it. My truck has everything except this, and to be honest, if I had known that, I do not think I would have purchased this particular truck and would have waited. 2) oddly enough, my truck did not come with floor mats, and I was left to figure out what I needed to get the mats explicitly made for my truck. You would think that after spending over $30k for a vehicle, floor mats of all things would be included, but…..you would be wrong. The day I drove the truck off the lot, I contacted the Parts Department of AutoNation (a separate building and entity). However, I hit a brick wall after the next and eventually gave up (I left a negative review for them). I finally figured out on my own what I needed to do and ordered them online, and had them shipped to me. When I texted my sales rep about the problems I was having with Parts Department, he stated, “….actually, would have to come into the parts department to order or call. They sometimes put you on hold when they’re busy. I am not at work today, but I can find out for you tomorrow when I’m back” Unfortunately, I never heard from him again, which was unfortunate. I now have my $200 floor mats, though. Those are my only two complaints. Overall, my purchase went very well. The truck was detailed very nice and the gas tank was filled all the way. The finance manager, Darren, was helpful, and I appreciate the offer they managed to get me and the advice regarding how to increase my credit score for the future. Laura did a good job explaining GAP coverage, etc. Thanks, AutoNation!

My experience of buying my first car at Autonation South Austin was phenomenal!! Susana is very helpful professional who truly understand my needs and was able to address all of my concerns from features of the car to financial aspect. She is very HUMBLE and HONEST. Normally, I don't trust sales person but definitely would go back to buy another vehicle from Susana. As of today wait time of getting Toyota RAV 4 is atleast 6-8 weeks but I am able to get my RAV 4 within a week just because of her customer oriented attitude. She also recommended me the best finance guy Ali, who help me to get the best finance deal. If you visit Autonation South Austin, talk to Susana, she will do ger best to get you in the vehicle you want at the right price point.

Absolutely horrible service. Eric never updated me about my car and when it would be done. I dropped it off at 11am Saturday morning. I had to call at 355 because no one updated me all day and they closed at 4. Eric told me that it was ready they just hadn’t given him paperwork or keys yet. I told him I didn’t want to Uber there if he didn’t even have my keys On Monday I called and they were still working on my CarPlay. So Eric lied about my car being ready. I asked the manager if I could pick the car up at 730 since I don’t get off work till 715. He said the “late” manager would be there to give me my car. Well he was not there at 730 when I arrived. Thank god there was a nice service employee still there who called the manager, found my keys and gave me my car. I will never bring my car to be serviced here ever again. The managers and Eric were incompetent. I wish I got the wonderful man’s name who helped me retrieve my car but I didn’t. CarPlay still does not work
