I came in for a 50,000 mile oil change with a coupon from a competitor for a lower price and they matched it. They got me in and out in an hour and a half which was fine but they didn’t reset my clock like I asked for.

Solid experience buying a used F150 from Patrick Larrieu. Offer on a trade in was generous and haggling was kept to a minimum. Had some scheduling conflicts that elongated the buying process but Patrick and the team was accommodating. Happy with the new truck.

We had a good experience. Isaias Fuentes was the guy who helped us and he was very nice. We were looking for a used toyota Sequoia that was on online, but once we got the it was gone, but they had another one that just arrived but still needed to do some expection on it. So it wasn't ready. After few days we went back to get it and the process was easy. Thank you and will recommend this place.

First of all, the most important thing we want is polite, fast, and quality service. In these areas, Auto Nation South Austin did well. For that I am grateful. When I made my appointment I got in the very next day. I had to wait a bit longer but it was a Friday, and they were slammed. After I left the dealership, I realized that I had left my purse in the office, while I was checking out. I called my service rep (I think his name was Josh).He secured it for me and kept it safe until I returned. All in all, it was a good visit. I do miss the days when the dealership gave your car a quick wash. When I lived in San Rafael, I purchased a car at Toyota Marin. That dealership had a policy that allowed you to get a free wash "whenever." Just stop by and drop it off. I never had to wait long. I also didn't abuse the policy. But whenever I had my car serviced, they returned it clean. I know it's harder now to hire staff but service like that...makes all the difference in the world. I hate having my car serviced. I have to drive ¹/² hour and the wait 2 hours. Anything you can do to make it more pleasurable is welcomed.

I made an appointment online to test drive a Subaru Forester at AutoNation but misunderstood and went to the wrong location. The salesman who met me at the door called the other location to let them know I was lost and cancelled the appointment for me. He asked me what I was looking for and my price point. At that point I had been looking for weeks both online and at dealerships. He listened well , identified three cars and brought me a 2022 Mazda CX5 with 11,000 miles on it and all the safety features I was looking for below my price limit. We drove it, he had my hybrid trade in evaluated and I got exactly what I needed and drove it home that evening. While I was waiting to finalize the transaction, I realized I hadn't eaten all day, and Andy took me to a nearby drive thru to get food before my blood sugar tanked. I went in lost with very little hope of finding my car and left with exactly the car I had been looking for. I couldn't be happier that I was lost and found my car at Auto Nation, South Austin.

I bought my Hybrid Highlander new at Auto Nation Toyota in 2010. I always get routine maintenance done at this dealership as needed. We were about to leave for a long trip. On Sunday , the Check Hybrid System light came on with instructions to stop and call the service department. That wasn't going to happen on Sunday, so Monday morning I had my car at the service bay at 7:00 when they opened. My service advisor Arturo took my car back and two hours later they had checked it on the computer, the warning light had gone off and they found nothing in the log except the fact that the light had gone on. We came back from our trip today and all is well, and we were able to travel as planned because they took the time to check out my car. I will buy my next car here because the service dept is great.

The day after I bought the vehicle I started having issues. I took it back and they told me they couldn't do any warranty work for two week. They finally let me bring the truck in five days later only to be told that I needed to go back and get the truck to take to another dealership. I've been trying to get a hold of a manager and my salesman but neither will return my calls. I've been without a vehicle for 2 days now and need to drop off at the other dealership and they have to start the process all over again. I have not been able to enjoy the truck I bought and now will be without a vehicle for who know how long. It's been a very frustrating experience dealing with these guys

I showed them that the wireless charger is not working, at first they where not gonna do anything so I had to escalate the situation. Tried talking to a manager but never got a hold of one until I had to go to the dealer and talk to one. Once I talked to a manager they sent a mechanic in the car with me so they could see it was not working. After that they refused to change the part and said they will open a case number with Toyota and for me to wait and see what Toyota says. Even though this part is covered under the warranty and it clearly is not working on a brand new truck. Has less the. 500 miles on it

Never Again!! 3 Days after my purchase the check engine light came on. I made an appointment and noted I would wait for my car. They said I had to leave it and wasted time off from work. I made another appointment and the guy said I could take my car to the dealership for the make of my car. Continued to say that BMW people think they’re better than everyone else, 5 times in 1 minute. He had his ears pierced and made me feel very uncomfortable . He then made me walk into the building to write me the number of the extended warranty and told me to give it to the dealership when I make another appointment, then said BMW people think their better than everybody. . All of this could have been told to me over the phone instead of making book two appointments and missing hours of work. The engine splash guard was not attached when I fought the car and I could hear it scraping anytime I hit the brakes. The timing chain had been replaced incorrectly recently and was too tight, as the tensioner was installed incorrectly. I had my car for a week and it’s being worked on by actual professionals at BMW. The O2 sensors were bad and had to be replaced. I will never buy a car from Autonation Toyota South Austin ever again and recommend that to all my colleagues. The sales person and the final loan officer who worked with me were great.

Bankers have made car dealer employees' job impossible. Without a large down payment the system is rigged to force consumers to buy newer at higher prices by "valuing" machines that lose market value by the day against run away interest rates. Not consumer friendly. That said: Barry was the first genuine customer service representative my wife and I met. We sincerely enjoyed meeting him. We knew what we wanted and he spent the whole day trying to help us. The numbers and our plans didn't align but after weeks of stressful car shopping our experience at Auto Nation Toyota was by far the best. Low bar because a hostile market, but the good people at Auto Nation deserve props. And a bonus!

One Satisfied Purchaser!!!! After doing extensive research on my next vehicle purchase coming all the way from West Texas (El Paso, TX) I flew out to Austin, TX. i arrived at 7am,car was rated at 2 and sent to oil change area, at 10am i saw my car parked and the paperwork placed on the serv adv desk. the advr was not at the desk. the adviser did not go to his desk for at leasthalf hour. i asked about the car and was told i was to be notified when ready. i waited but no one came, i then went to advr desk and i was met by the advsr and was given my key and leftthe area.

This is now the second time I've had a terrible experience at the AutoNation Toyota Service Department. The first bad experience was when I had a scheduled oil change, I arrived on time and waited in line for half an hour at which point I had to go in search of someone to give me an update, they said they'd be with me soon. After another half hour passed I again went in search of someone who said they'd be with me soon, at this point, I asked that they move the cars blocking me, so I could leave. I called and left a message expressing my dissatisfaction and never received a call back. (1.5 hrs of time wasted) My second experience, I had a scheduled appointment to get tires and rims replaced, I once again arrived on time, this time I was greeted within a few minutes. My technician Josh told me that they did not replace rims (even thought I was driving a Rav4 hybrid with OEM rims) but that he would check to see if they had the tires in stock and call me back. I left my car and did not receive a call back; after 2 hours I called Josh and he said the "technician was just about to take a look and he'd give me a call in 5 minutes", once again I did not receive a call. After 30 minutes I drove back to Toyota and found Josh. He informed me that the technician still had not looked at the car; and that they did not have the tires or wheels in stock (the wheels they don't replace). I asked him for my keys and he asked me to give him a minute so his tech could look at my car to make sure it was safe to drive and so he could create an invoice! I said no and took my car across the street to Discount Tire where I was promptly and courteously assisted. (3+ hrs time wasted). Don't waste your time with the inconsiderate people at this service department.

The transparent dealer practices at a corporate level take a lot of the stress out of the car buying process, and Patrick L worked tirelessly to make sure I got a hold of a car that was going to work for me and that I got a fair value on my trade in. He even went above and beyond with helping me get set up with new insurance quotes and ordered me a Starbucks. Truly a bespoke and easy experience in a time when buying a car can be a nightmare. I spent $130 for a tire rotation and got my car back with low tire pressure indicator on. Never a good sign to take your car in for one issue and get it back with another one. It really makes me not want to return since I feel like I will always have to make sure they actually took car of my car even with simple maintenance. I don’t like complaining but I also don’t like paying a ton of money for a job that wasn’t done properly. :(

Love the dealer, love the car, hate the service. Everyone seemed cranky on a Friday morning. When the guy finally came to my car (and that took a while) he was so unhurried. It was a struggle to not say something but I did keep it all to myself and tried to smile. Maybe that's why my ulcer is acting up? What's the point of having an appointment if it still takes 2.5 hours for an oil change? I can't be the only person who feels this way!! Please get together and review this process. It's enough to drive someone mad!!

I called ahead to get my 1997 Toyota Camry serviced. Tony Sabatino answered the call and told me to come on in and ask for him .. greeted me when I arrived … I needed my spark plugs changed and fuel filter replaced also . Knowing my vehicle was a older model and was going to be a little hard to find parts and work on .. Tony went out of his way to locate my part , call it in and have it delivered asap . During the process they accidentally damaged the existing plug wires .. Tony and the Technician Ralph were honest and also went above and beyond and replaced the wires at no additional charge. Here’s the kicker … my fuel filter was in a very difficult spot.. inside the engine bay .. it took a lot of hard work and dedication to get to it ( they had to put it on the lift , take off tires to get access) … they had a very difficult time getting it installed. Tony kept me informed and kept the estimated labor costs in my budget.. even though it took 3 times the computer allotted for a fuel filter they got the job done right and went above and beyond to keep me informed and in budget . Hats off to these guys .. they shoot you straight and have excellent customer service skills. I highly recommend them for any service you need done on your vehicle and I’ll definitely return for future repairs or services… Top notch service

Service Advisor Jared Jones always gives me the best advice regarding the most important parts that need immediate attention to keep my 2014 Camry in good running condition. At 102K miles, I went in for a multi point inspection and after looking at the past history of repairs, etc, Jared further suggested the cooling system needed cleaning, the transmission should be serviced with 12-quart fluids, and that the air filters needed to be replaced. Thank you Jared for being conscientious and thorough in making your assessment for repairs/service for my car and thank you to the service technician for his expertise and completing the service within two hours. My Camry is running extremely smoothly and will enable me to make a safe road trip next week. Auto Nation has an excellent staff ready to take care of the customer's vehicle.

A very frustrating experience. They took twice as long as I was originally told, and I ended up wasting nearly my entire day sitting in the lobby waiting for my vehicle for what was at most 30 minutes total work time for their mechanic (I used to work as a mechanic and know how much time things take). When I scheduled the appointment I was told it would take 2-3 hours, and I said I would wait there while the work was done. I arrived at the scheduled time, 9 a.m., and it was immediately apparent that they seemed to have scheduled everyone to arrive at the same time. There were about 20 other cars being dropped off when I arrived, and I counted 39 people sitting in the lobby waiting area. By 10am barely anyone was dropping cars off. And by the time I got by car back, just before 2:30 p.m., after nearly 5.5 hours waiting, there were only a handful of people left in the waiting area. The last time I went out to check on my car, where they'd temporarily parked it, it was still sitting there around 1 p.m. So the entire first 4 hours that I was waiting, my car was sitting parked not being worked on. What is the point of scheduling an appointment for customers at a specific time in the morning if you're not even going to start working on their car until hours later? You cause a massive inconvenience to customers trying to plan their day if you mislead them about the time it will take. On a side note, the customer service advisor that actually took my keys told me it would really be 3-4 hours, not the 2-3 I was originally told on the phone when I scheduled. And it still ended up taking 5.5 hours. If I'd known that ahead of time, I would have planned my day completely differently. Also the actual work I needed done was a simple oil change and tire rotation (something that takes a mechanic 30 minutes at most) and for them to check at a rear seat release lever that had stopped working. Which they didn't have the necessary part for so no work was done on it that day and I'll have to come back again when the part arrives. They didn't even check the tire pressure when they rotated my tires, and 2 of them were 5 psi low (I know this because I check my tire pressure regularly, and intentionally keep my rear tires at a lower pressure, which they swapped to the front and never checked to put up to the recommended 36psi) And the service advisor never phoned or texted or came out to the waiting area to give me an update even after 4 hours had passed, well past the original estimate, and I had to go check with him for an update, where he merely said he'd check on it, and then more than an hour passed before the work was actually completed.

The Service Dept and Sales Dept for me personally are miles apart when it comes to customer service from my personal experience. So I would not recommend to buy from a place I would not. Terrible. They had to cancel my initial appointment (that I had scheduled online and received confirmation for), so I had to reschedule for a few days later. I needed my alignment adjusted and an oil change. They also brought me a list of repairs totaling in the neighborhood of $1,500 (for a car that is only valued at $1,000). Ultimately it cost me $300 to get out of there. I don’t blame the service guy, he was friendly and just doing his job - but I felt like I got ripped off.

This is the fifth car we have bought from AutoNation Toyota in South Austin. We have always used the same salesman, Alex Lomeli, and he has always been excellent. Buying the car and signing all the paperwork was easy and fast. Our experience with the service department has been good; however, the wait time is a bother. Our only complaint is that the music in the showroom was very loud and unpleasant. Certainly, some more acceptable music could be played at a lower volume.

Api told me my brakes were almost metal on metal so I stopped at a brake place on the way home. Not close to true. Same with tires and I suspect the rest of the issues. Even though the car I wanted was sold before I got there Tom did his best to make it right. I've been in the Used car grind for 4 moths now trying to find my son his first car and it is agony. I've had dealers sale them out from under me, dealers say they have it when they don't, and dealers change price when I arrive. Yes auto nation sold the car I wanted and did not notify me prior to my drive to the dealership. That's not on Tom. Tom is an excellent representation of what this industry needs more of. I purchased a used Toyota Tundra about almost a year ago. I had problems with the catalic converter so I took it in to get repaired. I was told it would be about 4 months for repair to be completed. It’s been 5 months now and I have gotten no updates as to when we can get our vehicle back. We are not allowed to take the vehicle somewhere else to get repaired. They don’t give me any updates. At this point, I don’t even know if the part has been ordered. I would like for someone to call me.

I recently purchased a 2023 Toyota Venza. My shopping experience was great. The only challenge was finding the car. We waited for almost two months. Understandable due to the inventory shortage plus being a hybrid SUV. Once we found the car the process was smooth. Ed walked us through the new features of the Venza and then on to Financing. The last few times I've brought my car in with an appointment to have work done, I've sat in the waiting area for 2 hours only to have them come out and tell me they don't have the parts to do the job so I will have to reschedule. Then I wait about another hour while they put my car back together with original parts so I can leave. Then I had to come back again and waist several more hours of my time while they actually did the work. Appointments don't seem to mean much either. You show up on time or early and it still takes hours to get a 30 minute job done. I've come in without an appointment and service time was about the same as it is with an appointment.

We had great experience. Conveniently located at south Austin and large collection of vehicles to choose from. Patrick and David were very helpful and answered each and every questions I asked. I arrived at 7AM and was told my assigned service advisor was running late and another would help me. There were only 3 other customers in the waiting room so I thought it would probably be pretty fast. I'm used to being there an hour or two hours tops. There was no feedback and there were no updates. After going inside to wait, the service advisor visited me one time to make recommendations and get approval and there were no other updates offered during the SIX HOUR visit. I left at 1:00 PM, when I went looking for the service advisor. My car was suddenly ready immediately.

Henry was incredibly helpful in picking out our vehicle. We already knew a little of what we wanted from shopping online - a recent but not brand new Corolla or similar compact high MPG vehicle. We were greeted the moment we walked in, there were two comfortable waiting areas with free water, coffee and tea. The bathrooms were clean. Even though we arrived over an hour before our appointment we were seen within 15 minutes of arriving. The entire process took less than 3 hours. We did have our own financing secured through our credit union, and the interest rate is low enough they didn't even try to convince us to get it through the dealership. The finance guy did push the extended warranty pretty hard but it was a total cost of maybe $5k? The one from our credit union is $1500. So definitely skip that if you can get one through your bank or credit union! Overall a very good experience and we will definitely be come back in a few years when it's time to do this all again when our older car needs an upgrade.

weird noise came on while traveling; stopped at autonation toyota in austin and Tony Sabatoni was the best toyota service rep ever! even though i had no appt, he was able to get my auto on the computer which exposed the problem, and he got it repaired in record time! so thankful! and if ever traveling near austin again and need auto help, i will certainly go to Tony!

She was very friendly, helpful, and advocated for what worked best for my situation. Once it came down to the final paperwork, Vince walked me through the price breakdown to make it all easy to understand. I can't recall each person's name that helped out but the entire team that helped along each step of the way made it clear that they wanted the process to be easy and straightforward for anyone looking to buy a new car. Very long checkin. Arrived at appointment tint and it took over an hour to be checked in. Waited 4 hours to be told the tail light assembly that I came in for had to be ordered. An additional hour for the part to be ordered so I could pay for it and get my car.

Three and a half hours to do an oil change and rotate and balance tires. Not really a good time to do a service. And they didn’t even check the air pressure in the tires. Was told I need to flush the power steering fluid and I had it done about 4 months ago and it’s still clean.

Recently my car was stolen (y’all Hyundai and Kia owners be careful out here, especially older model cars) and I needed a replacement. I came in on Thursday with my dad and we only had a short time to look and find something, and Alex L. was very helpful! I recently bought my first Toyota and I am in love with it. The buying process was super easy. I submitted what I was looking for on the Toyota website and immediately got a call from a woman named Poliana. She said they had what I wanted so I went down the next morning and there it was. When we spoke on the phone or was like we were old friends. Poliana was helping other customers and I didn't have an appointment so Susana was gracious enough to help me. She was very up front, helpful and there was no pressure to buy. There were no unnecessary trips to talk to some annoying manager to haggle over pennies, everything was cut and dried and above board. I would love to go back and would definitely buy from Poliana and Susana if the need arose. Highest marks 5/5.

Made an appointment a week out for an oil change and then the ice storm happened 🥶. I thought for sure my appointment would be pushed back but I got a text the day before confirming it. My coordinator Epi was super helpful and the only recommendation they had for me was my air filter was dirty but could wait until next time. Really great experience and I would highly recommend them.

I was not given an estimate for most of the services provided and was under the impression the oil change and 25k mile care was free. There were services provided that we were never told about and again did not receive an estimate for anything aside from our rim replacement & alignment. We didn?t even know our tire needed to be replaced along with the rim. Extremely unprofessional & severe lack of communication. We had to call several times for updates and had a hard time reaching our service advisor alex. We were not expecting to pay several hundred dollars for these services and will likely not be bringing our vehicle back or purchasing from this dealership again. Our whole family has always been loyal to Toyota vehicles but this experience was so awful that next time we?re looking for a new vehicle we?ll likely be looking for a different company to support. Extremely shady.

This was at the top of the services I’ve ever experienced for my < 2 year old car at a Toyota dealership. The people were very nice and clear in communicating what to do and when to go about doing it. It also only took an hour to complete my regular maintenance on a weekday afternoon. Then when I was paying and I asked questions about my service plan, the service man was very nice in explaining the details for future visits. I originally bought my car in San Antonio, but I’ve been having horrible experiences at the universal Toyota. I’m definitely going to get my car serviced in Austin from now on.

I will start by praising AutoNation South Toyota's service advisor, Art Gomez. Art greeted me in a professional and courteous way at drop off and made sure to get my vehicle in and out of service as quickly as possible while I waited on site. Art actually returned my vehicle back to me in less time than he estimated, beating his estimate by 30 minutes. This meant a lot to me. Art has nothing to do with my 2 star rating. I appreciate the 2year complimentary service - but we all know that first service after 2 year or 25 K miles is a big one, that the customer must pay for. Changing fluids, air filters, brakes, etc. that the manufacturer recommends - it'll be hundreds of dollars. I digress. The two star rating comes from the following: First, there is not enough seating in the customer waiting lounge. Next, nothing is provided except coffee. How about providing some bottled water and donuts or granola bars? There are instructions on how to use the coffee maker posted on the wall; however, after two tries, I still couldn't make a cup of coffee. I suggest using a simpler device, like K Cup coffee makers. The chairs are not comfortable and there is not enough table/chair options for customers to use portable computers. Why don't you run the customer's vehicle through a car wash? It's a small gesture, but goes a long way toward providing excellent customer service. These are small things (nit-picky) but when I owned a Honda, these small things were standard within the Honda service department.

Brought new truck in for 5k service requested tire rotation they never rotated them. (I marked them)just said they did. 1 tire had a nail in it and 2 had extremely low psi - but that passed multipoint inspection. I wonder if my oil was changed? Service manager won?t return calls

The completion time for basic services is improving. When we first started going to this facility, it took 4+ hours for an oil change and tire rotation. If we had not pre-purchased the oil changes when we bought the car, we definitely would have started taking it somewhere else. However, over the last 2 years, the wait time has been steadily improving and now takes about an hour.

This dealership consistently drops the ball in regards to communicating to their customers what is going on. I arrived for a routine oil change that was prepaid with the Toyota Care package. After 3 hours, they attempted to sell me over $500 of ‘recommended maintenance’ for a 2016 Corolla that only has 50k miles. After declining, the salesperson asked me to to swipe my card without explaining what the breakdown of costs were. They tried to charge me over $160 for the oil change (should be included) and a car inspection. Thankfully I questioned the charge and they only ended up charging me for the $18 inspection. This is not the first awful experience I’ve had at this dealership. I can’t wait to pay this car off and never go here again. This dealership is the prime example why people do not trust mechanics.

This was a bit of a mixed bag of experience. I looked up the vehicle online and called to make sure it was still in inventory. I then had to make and appointment. I then received two calls back to verify my appointment. I arrived, took a look at the Jeep and then took it for a test drive. Since this was a fixed price dealership, there is no price negotiation. I then put a deposit on the vehicle. One would think this would be a very fast process, well, it isn't. I was at the dealership for about 2 hours, including the over 20 min wait to see the "finance" guy. I came back later in the week to pick up the Jeep and had been told it was ready. (As part of the sales agreement, I had the dealership fix one of the visors). As I was about to go make payment, the salesperson came back and told me the visor hadn't been repaired yet but the part was ordered and would be in soon. I was very upset. I had driven an hour to get to the dealership already, now I am being told that I would have to come back and wait for a visor to be repaired (i.e. replaced). I was more upset about being lied to in regard to the Jeep being ready. I left without taking possession of the Jeep. I started to look for another Jeep, but was contacted by the dealership to let me know the visor had been repaired. Along the way, I did drive another Jeep but it wasn't a good fit for what I wanted. I was greeted upon my arrival and was asked again to wait for a finance person. I reviewed the paperwork, took the Jeep on another test drive, and then signed a personal check for the balance. The dealership ran a credit check on me to make sure the check was good. A day or so later, I noticed a very small chip and crack in the windshield. I reached out to the dealership and they referred me to a local (to them) glass repair shop that took a look at it. While the shop could not effect a repair, the dealership at least tried. in summary, the dealership/salesperson made a misstep but apologized and tried to make good, although an offer to pay for gas or time wasn't in the cards.

I needed to email the coupon to the service advisor before getting the advertised discount. I even directly emailed the service advisor ahead of time noting this, but all was news to him. A week later I get a call from Jose saying that he’s found the perfect vehicle and after everything said and done, I walked away with it. My wife called me saying there was something leaking from under the car. I got it and took it to AutoNation The down side is that I was not able to drop off the car as they do not seem to be prepared for unscheduled dropoffs. I went home and scheduled it for 2 days later. The up side is that I scheduled with Art Gomez who had overseen all of our work for at least last 10 years. He did an excellent job as always, getting the rack changed and leak fixed. I did not get a quote as Art may have forgotten and I did not ask for one. I like that they even washed the car and provided a day's credit for the rental car we had to get extended.

I understand that I am not the only customer but if they do not have enough employees, they should not get as many cars, or if they have last minute customers, those should wait more and not penalize who scheduled first.

The last two service appointments I waited over 20 minutes to be checked in. Other cars arrived after me and were checked in before me. Not sure why you advertise a car wash is done as I can’t remember ever having my car washed in past two years. I did appreciate the text when my car was done. Actually took only 30 minutes for oil change so I was out of there within an hour. The service check in people don’t seem happy either.

I told Carl I had an E vap leak. He said it could have something to do with the AC. They were not able to find anything after a diagnostic that cost me $150. When I asked about the A/C because he brought it up he gaslit me into saying that it was not the issue even though he was the one that brought it up initially. I had to come back during my lunch break and have a friend drive me back up there because the oil change was expected to take 2 hours before it would be fixed. I received pushback from Carl about getting an oil change despite my car saying "Maintenance Required Visit Dealer". Very time consuming, very costly and extremely frustrating.

I made an appointment for 7:45 am in the morning for the 5,000 mile maintenance requirement, and at 9:30 am I got a text saying my car was ready. I got my car back with the same problem, my door dash alerting me to get maintenance. I messaged Efren about it and I still have yet to get a response.

I have visited AutoNation a few times now for normal repairs on my 2019 car. I usually receive coupons in my email and I even got one oil change for free! Their staff are friendly and professional and they always get my car in and out in a timely manner (even during busy times). Of course they give recommendations of things to fix, but never push me into doing more than I am ready to. Overall, I am pleased with AutoNation and I recommend them!

I had a SCHEDULED appointment for routine maintenance that ended up only being rotating the tires. I was told it would take 1.5 hours. They kept me sitting in their unpleasant and overcrowded waiting room for FOUR HOURS. On top of that, the drink & snack machines in the waiting area are way overpriced- not nice for customers you hold captive for so long.

Epi Gonzalez was my service rep., he was hard to communicate with and lacked urgency on any matter. I would call the service manager and ask him to have Epi call me routinely. I was given a copy of my receipt but no warranty information was provided. It states warranty information is on the back of the invoice but as I mentioned, I only have a xerox copy so the back is a blank piece of paper. I received my car back without it being washed/wiped down but I guess those perks are gone.

The salesmen were professional and attentive. They did not play the games that salespeople have payed at three of the other five Toyota dealerships that I have visited. However, I discovered the TPMS was dis functional when I drove it home. I called Ed, a sales person, on the way home. He said to drive the truck some and it might start working. On Saturday, I had made an appointment with service to repair the system. I had to wait 6 hours ar the dealership to get the system repaired. This was inconvenient. I was told that the floor matt that I ordered with the car would be mailed. I have not received them. Angel, the sals person, continued to help me with the technology after the car was purchased. The sales experience was better than that of three of the other five Toyota dealers that I have visited. I have owned six Toyotas, purchased at five different dealerships.

I get my regular service here and it was time to get an oil change. I showed them an email that was for black friday $29.99 full synthetic oil change and they honored this email even though they said they would lose money on it. I also rotated my tires. It took them 30 minutes, cost $67 total, on a Wednesday at 12:30pm.

I honestly can't say enough good things about the staff and the positive experience I had at AutoNation Toyota South Austin. Anyone that has shopped for a new vehicle in the last couple of years knows how extremely challenging it has been. That being said, I shopped around all over Austin and the surrounding areas-even went as far as Boerne, TX. Albeit I met some pretty nice salespeople, none of them could compare to Danny Tercero at AutoNation South. Not only is he down to earth and forthright, he is just a really friendly, outgoing guy. Coincidentally, he was one of the first people I spoke with that day when I began my search. I had a feeling he would be the one to finally seal the deal. Danny was concerned for me, my wants and needs in a vehicle. He took the time and energy to speak in depth about my queries (and I have had quite a few!) He presented different vehicles along the way, just in case, though he kept me updated on my place in line for the one particular car I wanted. When my RAV4 Hybrid came in he took the time to walk me through all the various functions and explain all the different features (when he was clearly busy with many other things pressing him:)) He was very knowledgeable and was even able to obtain the color I wanted originally as well! Tory made the financing aspect of the purchase a breeze. This is by far one of my least favorite aspects of buying a car, but she made it actually fun. The rest of the staff there was personable and helpful too. They like to have a good time, and I love to see that! The dealership property is not too fancy, but that's just fine. The ones that are were nearly ten grand over MSRP. AutoNation Toyota of South Austin is right on. I don't see a need to shop anywhere else!

What a mess. I bought a new Rav4 from here this summer. The dealership did not include wheel-lock key with my car, which I figured out when I took my car somewhere local to get serviced. My sales advisor told me to look in two places by email. Not there. Then he didn’t respond to my next 4-5 emails over the next 2 weeks. Then I called and was told someone would call me back. No call back. I called again and was told I’d need to come into the dealership, which is a very long drive for me to get this resolved. I drove in(hour drive), and was told they’d put on temporary locking nuts of a different color and I’d have to drive back in to get the right ones. I’m beyond pissed. This is a three hour disruption for me. And I was specifically told I’d have to come in and wait about an hour to get this resolved. If they didn’t have any black ones in stock why would I b told to drive in?! I then reached out to a friend who also bought from this dealership and he also did not receive the keys.

These guys are amazing - shout out to Stephan, I called out of the blue for a capstone tundra and within an hour he had my deposit and my truck was reserved. Granted we have to wait these days, but we txted back and forth numerous times over the next month and 1/2. Hit so familiar, we talked on other matters and really made a connection which enhanced the buying experience. When the big day arrived, I got the call and was on the road the next day. When I got to the dealership, he had the truck in the back, and brought it up. We took it to a celebrity lunch, then back to the store and made the deal. The finance guys actually changed the loan to meet my needs by finding the perfect match. It was a long day, but the experience was awesome and I will be going back when it is time. I will NEVER recommend this dealership to another person after the experience I’ve had in my recent purchase of a vehicle. It started with an extremely disrespectful sales rep and manager who demeaned me when I told them I could not afford to put $50 down on a car which was why I needed a car loan. While the sales rep made up for that by putting the $50 down himself, he then proceeded to sell me a defective vehicle that I requested was fixed prior to the sale. When he said his manager was refusing to fix it, he offered me a $300 check in exchange for my dissatisfaction and went back on his word when the check engine light came on in the car two hours after leaving the lot with it. I immediately took the vehicle back and asked them to fix the mechanical issue, they held my car for a week, and returned it to me with the check engine light still on and the $2000 fix incomplete effectively voiding their five day return policy. Two days after driving around with the defective vehicle, it broke down and is now in the shop at a trustworthy mechanic as Autonation/Toyota’s mechanics cannot be trusted. When I informed my bank of the faulty sale of a $14000 vehicle which I will now be paying on for five years plus the thousands of dollars of maintenance that need to be done, they told me to ask for two simple reports from the sales rep which still have yet to be provided to me as I’m being given the runaround by the dealership. This is by far the most slimy, disrespectful, inconsiderate, untrustworthy dealership I have ever had to work with in the sale/purchase of a vehicle. They should be ashamed and embarrassed for doing this to another human being at all, but especially for doing this to a single mother just trying to get my daughter to and from school in a safe/reliable vehicle and myself to work on a daily basis.

My experience with AutoNation was a positive one. I purchased a 2022 Toyota Tacoma, which is exactly what I wanted from the start. They had one Tacoma on the lot, so I didn’t have the chance to sleep on the offer like I wished I could and had to act relatively quickly. My sales rep, Amiel, was pretty good. Two reasons I deducted a star are: 1) Laura told me during the signing of my documents that when I picked up the truck the following morning, I would be shown all the bells and whistles that the truck had to offer. Unfortunately, this never happened. Since I had an older car (2008), I have never had any of the newest technologies vehicles now have, so it has taken me a lot of time and research to figure out what all my truck offers. Thankful for YouTube! It was also upsetting to learn that my truck did not come with the lane departure feature, which I find really helpful in modern vehicles, and I expressed that I wanted it. My truck has everything except this, and to be honest, if I had known that, I do not think I would have purchased this particular truck and would have waited. 2) oddly enough, my truck did not come with floor mats, and I was left to figure out what I needed to get the mats explicitly made for my truck. You would think that after spending over $30k for a vehicle, floor mats of all things would be included, but…..you would be wrong. The day I drove the truck off the lot, I contacted the Parts Department of AutoNation (a separate building and entity). However, I hit a brick wall after the next and eventually gave up (I left a negative review for them). I finally figured out on my own what I needed to do and ordered them online, and had them shipped to me. When I texted my sales rep about the problems I was having with Parts Department, he stated, “….actually, would have to come into the parts department to order or call. They sometimes put you on hold when they’re busy. I am not at work today, but I can find out for you tomorrow when I’m back” Unfortunately, I never heard from him again, which was unfortunate. I now have my $200 floor mats, though. Those are my only two complaints. Overall, my purchase went very well. The truck was detailed very nice and the gas tank was filled all the way. The finance manager, Darren, was helpful, and I appreciate the offer they managed to get me and the advice regarding how to increase my credit score for the future. Laura did a good job explaining GAP coverage, etc. Thanks, AutoNation!

My experience of buying my first car at Autonation South Austin was phenomenal!! Susana is very helpful professional who truly understand my needs and was able to address all of my concerns from features of the car to financial aspect. She is very HUMBLE and HONEST. Normally, I don't trust sales person but definitely would go back to buy another vehicle from Susana. As of today wait time of getting Toyota RAV 4 is atleast 6-8 weeks but I am able to get my RAV 4 within a week just because of her customer oriented attitude. She also recommended me the best finance guy Ali, who help me to get the best finance deal. If you visit Autonation South Austin, talk to Susana, she will do ger best to get you in the vehicle you want at the right price point.

Absolutely horrible service. Eric never updated me about my car and when it would be done. I dropped it off at 11am Saturday morning. I had to call at 355 because no one updated me all day and they closed at 4. Eric told me that it was ready they just hadn’t given him paperwork or keys yet. I told him I didn’t want to Uber there if he didn’t even have my keys On Monday I called and they were still working on my CarPlay. So Eric lied about my car being ready. I asked the manager if I could pick the car up at 730 since I don’t get off work till 715. He said the “late” manager would be there to give me my car. Well he was not there at 730 when I arrived. Thank god there was a nice service employee still there who called the manager, found my keys and gave me my car. I will never bring my car to be serviced here ever again. The managers and Eric were incompetent. I wish I got the wonderful man’s name who helped me retrieve my car but I didn’t. CarPlay still does not work

My experience purchasing a used vehicle with Autonation Toyota South Austin has been so frustrating and disappointing. I looked at a used car that they had received two days before and had not completed an inspection or cleaned it. I test drove it and was told “someone” wanted to test drive it right after I came back, so I had to decide right away. That is where it all went wrong. I had a pre-approved loan and e-check from my bank so it should have gone smoothly. They said they couldn’t take it and that I would need to go to my bank to get the loan check and if someone came in while I was gone to get the check and wanted to buy it, they could not hold the car for me. The sales guy tried to get me to apply for one of their loans and they may be able to get the interest rate close to what I had with my bank. After phoning a friend, he suggested a PO. Eventually we were going to go the PO route. All the while the sales guy kept telling me that I’ll still need to go get a check from the bank. Once I got to finance after waiting over an hour, the finance guy said that they take e-checks and it was basically a cash sale. I completed and signed all the paperwork. All this while they keep promising that I’d get the car in 48 hours with the car inspected, detailed and the paint scratches fixed on the vehicle. This was not the case. After calling them past the 48 hours, they still had not gotten it fully inspected and they were trying to rush the detailing, which meant they would rush and possibly not get the stains out of the upholstery on the front seats. They didn’t even mention fixing the paint at all until I mentioned it. It took another three days for it to be ready which put at a week since I purchased it. Two days before I picked it up, I informed that the loan funds had not been transferred. It was due to them not completing things on their end that it didn’t transfer. I had to get my loan officer involved because the link that I provided to them didn’t work anymore since I had already sent them the email to transfer the funds. When I finally did pick up the vehicle, they did fix the paint scratches but failed to fix any of the chipped paint on the hood and didn’t even fix the chipped paint on the side of the vehicle that the scratches were repaired. Even though, the stains on the seats were lighter, they were still there. I also only received one key and now have to pay $160 for another key if I want to have an additional one. They did agree to fix the chipped paint and reimburse me on getting the car detailed again, but scheduling it has been a challenge because the paint technician was out on vacation then I had some family emergencies and illnesses. I have contacted the sales guy twice over the last couple of weeks since the paint technician has been back and the sales guy has not responded. Sorry for the long drawn-out review, but this has been a long drawn-out experience that hasn't been resolved yet since I bought the car a month ago. I would not recommend buying from Autonation.

From the moment I sat with Michael, I told him what I was looking for, and he was straightforward with the information, diligent to show car options in my budget, very clear about the pricing, how much my payments options were after my downpayment and all credit options (Their bank is amazing to work with). Previously I was in a Nissan Preowned dealer, 45 mins into asking the associate if they have what I was looking for: they showed me awful options, treated me like I'm an idiot, and even showed me a car with body damages for me to buy (WTF!) I had 5k for my down payment. The scumbags even try to make me sign a paper where I wrote previously what I was looking for in a car. I politely told them not to waste my time. So the manager stop me at the door and try to convince me to go back playing dumb in not knowing what was going on. Please DO NOT BUY THERE! Obviously, I just walked away, thinking I've definitely will tell my experience with these people. Michael with Toyota AutoNation showed me their high standards with their transparency and financing options. I couldn't be happier. I got a great deal, the setup for my car payments was easy online, and after a pleasant business transaction, I drove away in my new car. I bought the car for my wife, we upgraded because we have a newborn, and she couldn't drive her small sedan anymore. Baby car seat, stroller, and all the new tools for a family to carry around, everything fits great. Family is the most important for us and she is very happy, we got an awesome SUV from TAN. *The worst service I've ever received anywhere.* I was physically there on Saturday. They couldn't get me in on Saturday which is totally understandable as a walk in. So we schedule for Monday, with a man named JUSTIN THOMPSON, with the stipulation that if the part wouldn't get there until Wednesday I could reschedule for the same time on Wednesday. So I started calling on Saturday, exactly 45 minutes after I was physically in office and had made the appointment. I called 4 times and left 2 messages to reschedule for Wednesday, same time, as discussed. On Sunday I called 2 times and left 1 message. On Monday I called 2 times and left 2 messages. After finally speaking with someone at a front desk position, I discovered that he had cancelled my appointment on Monday with no reschedule, and had not contacted me back at all. They are now fully booked on Wednesday and I have no appointment. I woidn never *EVER* use this service through this branch ever again. This is by far the worst customer service I've ever experienced in terms of lying to the client.

I can say that he has a special talent of identifying the best car for customer like me. I was amazed by the fact that I could say yes immediately to the first car he presented to me. All the things what I am looking for a car pinpoint to the car he showed to me. That made my transaction became faster. Unlike to other dealership wherein I need to seat down for a longer time and got almost eye-strain looking for the car on their desktop computer or tablet, and yet end up with nothing. I got also a prompt reply from him everytime I ask questions and answers my inquiries with satisfying information.

After deciding to purchase a 2018 Honda Civic , the sales rep, Melissa Davis, informed me that the car had not be subjected to the 140 point inspection required by AutoNation before sale. The inspection revealed a significant need for service to the car's front end; this took over a week due to delays in parts delivery and the need to outsource some of the repairs to local shops. all this completed with full professionalism and almost daily communication with me. I went in for a oil change that they said would take 2-3 hours and I went multiple times after 3 hours to see when my car will be done. After over 4 hours they were barely taking my car to get the oil change. It’s ridiculous to wait 5 hours for oil change, who knows how much longer it would taken if I didn’t keep asking. Marc Diaz and Ed Fernandez did an excellent job walking me through the process of buying my new Hybrid RAV4. Much as car shopping can be an emotional process they did a great job of getting what I wanted at a fair price. I walked in the dealership on a Friday and told Marc & Ed what I want. The Hybrid RAV4 was on a 2-4+ month wait list. However with some luck Marc gave me a call on Saturday (the next day) and said they had a 2022 Hybrid RAV4 available that day. I was super excited to buy it and officially bought my Hybrid RAV4 right before Midnight! Once the Hybrid RAV4 was sold to me, Ed got all the car wash, gas, and temporary plates ready, while Marc helped setup/explain all the features in the Hybrid RAV4 to me. It was also super nice Ed stayed late to process everything. For the vehicle payment paperwork and warranties discussion, Isaias Fuentes did a great job creating the custom warranty package I wanted that was close to the price I was willing to pay for so I save money down the road on maintenance. I recommend if you’re going to buy a Toyota, go see Marc & Ed. Besides there great customer service, they know the “ins” on what vehicle is coming-in before it’s released to the public, especially in this scarce vehicle market it’s good to know people (winners/the plugs) like that!

If given the option do not schedule with Epi Rodriguez. Also don’t plan on waiting unless you absolutely need to. I am not generally one to write poor reviews but I had a morning appointment for an oil change and to have a patch put on a tire. When I scheduled I made these details clear and I arrived on time. It took OVER 4 HOURS to complete this. The tire patch was clearly rushed seeing that there were black tire marks on the side of my white car and the spare tire was not even put away completely. I will now have to spend an additional hour buffing these out myself. The car was also not washed at all despite me being told it would be. I assume this is because I was asking about my vehicle status at the 3 hour mark (where I was told I’d have my car in 20 minutes which was clearly not true). I have been to this location before and the service was fine. I anticipated a long(ish) wait but 4 hours for this service (and not even a complete job) is ridiculous. The service I received from Mr. Rodriguez was very disappointing. I was being blown off and not being kept updated at all. I also noticed that I was not the only one waiting at his desk for an update. Very very disappointed in this service.

For the past three years my wife and I have had such great experience at AutoNation Toyota South Austin. Our first purchase was a 2020 Rav-4. We had amazing customer service with Cait. She is awesome and she has done her best to helps out. Then last year, we decided to trade it in. So again I went ahead and contacted Cait and she made it happen to get a 2021 Tacoma. Now, we are going back with Mrs.Cait again to look at some forerunners because she does an amazing job and we love working with her. I recommend her very much.

Dominic Soto is my advisor. With an appointment, I waited for 3.5 hours just for oil change and brake fluid change. When I complained to Dominic about my waiting time, he pointed me to another guy in his office and said that this guy waited for more than 6 hours (implicitly, you should not complain by waiting for just 3.5 hours and you are still far from my record). Interestingly, he is the advisor for both of us, and he does not treat it as a shame but some sort of pride. I am not sure whether this is common for AutoNation and whether every advisor is so proud of keeping their customers waiting long even with an appointment. If it is the case, then I would "recommend" everyone to try to kill their boring day with free AC. 🤣

AutoNation has been nothing less than spectacular since the first day I walked through the door. From the sales process, customer service, the vehicle service... everything has been A++. I have dealt with other Toyota dealerships in the Austin area with my first 4Runner, and it's not even close. AutoNation is by FAR the best Toyota dealership in CentralTexas.
